    Als Lernassistent:in an der Silicon Valley International School werden Sie eng mit unseren internationalen Lehrer:innen zusammenarbeiten, um die Schüler im Alter von 3 bis 5 Jahren in ihrem Lernen zu unterstützen.     Ganzjähriger Arbeitsplan
    Ganzjährig, einschließlich der festgelegten Ferienzeiten für das Lehrpersonal sowie der Sommermonate für Mini-/Sommercamp-Einsätze.

    Da diese Position als ganzjährige akademische Anstellung gilt, sind Lernassistent:innen verpflichtet, in jedem Schuljahr sechs (6) von neun (9) Wochen entweder im Mini- oder im Sommercamp zu arbeiten. Im Rahmen der Sommerbetreuung oder des Mini-Camps übernehmen Lernassistent:innen die Rolle von Camp-Betreuern. Zu ihren Aufgaben gehören die Planung und Durchführung von Aktivitäten unter der Anleitung der Direktorin/des Direktors für Zulassungs- und Enrichment-Programme.

    Die Direktorin/der Direktor bestimmt ein Camp-Thema und unterstützt bei der Organisation. Camp-Betreuer:innen können die Woche vor Beginn des Mini-Camps zur Planung und Vorbereitung nutzen.

    Dies ist eine stundenweise vergütete 75-%- (non-exempt) Position mit Sozialleistungen. Die Stelle ist der Direktorin/dem Direktor für Zulassungs- und Enrichment-Unterstützung unterstellt. Der Stundenlohn beträgt zwischen 30,07 $ (CO-1) und 40,52 $ (CO-23), abhängig von der relevanten Berufserfahrung und dem Bildungsabschluss. Zusätzlich gewährt die Schule einen Bildungsbonus — $ 1.000 für einen Bachelor-Abschluss und $ 2.000 für einen Master-Abschluss,  der zu Ihrem regulären Stundenlohn hinzugefügt wird.

  • Part-Time Educational Support Staff

    Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is seeking a caring, energetic, and student-focused individual to join our Upper School as Education Support Staff. This position is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive connections with middle and high school students and who takes pride in supporting their growth and well-being in a multicultural learning community.

    In this role, the Education Support Staff will provide supervision and guidance during after-school hours, helping to ensure a safe, structured, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is responsible, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to engage students while also managing logistics and supporting the daily flow of school life. A genuine enthusiasm for working with students and a commitment to INTL’s mission are essential.

    This is a part-time (31% FTE), non-exempt, academic-year position that does not qualify for benefits. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., totaling 10 hours per week. The work calendar follows student attendance, meaning the position is not scheduled during school breaks, including winter, spring, fall, and summer, unless otherwise approved. While these breaks are unpaid, employment status remains active and continuous.
    Compensation
    The compensation for this position is $29.00 per hour.

    Your Responsibilities During the Academic Year
    During the school year, you will report directly to the Assistant Dean of Students and support both the Middle School and High School during our after-school programming. In this role, you will:
     
    • Supervise students during the end-of-day dismissal process, including Study Hall and dismissal
    • Supervise the Middle School after-school study hall
    • Assist with enforcing school policies and ensuring that students are safe and in the correct place
    • Provide logistical support for after-school activities and events
    • Support clubs and student council activities as needed
    • Help de-escalate and resolve student conflicts in a calm, respectful, and solutions-oriented manner
    • Act as a consistent and professional presence, serving as a positive role model for students
    • Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment
    • Remain informed about and aligned with school protocols, expectations, and behavioral standards
     
    Your ability to build relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries will be essential. You’ll be expected to model maturity, responsibility, and respect, helping students feel supported and held to high standards.

  • Specialized Teacher within the PYP and MYP German Program

    Part-Time (65% FTE)

    Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is pleased to announce an opening for a part-time Teacher. This position involves the instruction of Art, Music, and Media Skills within the Elementary School (Primary Years Program 50%) and Visual Arts in the Upper School (Middle Years Program, 15%), specifically within the German Programs.

    Summary of the Position

    The Elementary School Media Skills Teacher, within the German Program, plays a vital role in fostering creativity, expression, and inquiry through the disciplines of Media Skills (Library), Art, and Music—all taught in German. This multifaceted position also includes providing additional classroom support in German language classrooms as needed. The specialist collaborates with homeroom teachers and subject-area colleagues to ensure continuity of language acquisition and alignment with the Primary Years Program (PYP) framework.

    They support student growth by developing engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that promote creativity and critical thinking. They create a welcoming, well-organized learning environment and contribute to interdisciplinary units of inquiry. As a member of a bilingual, multicultural community, the teacher values collaboration and is adaptable to working across languages and cultures.

     
    This teacher must demonstrate a commitment to INTL’s mission and guiding principles, have experience working with elementary-age children, and take a warm, flexible, student-centered approach. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a dynamic curriculum that fosters a love of the German language and culture among our elementary students and will be a passionate educator fluent in German.
    The role is currently not eligible for visa sponsorship.

    Elementary School Teacher, The Role Includes (50%):
    • Teaching Media Skills (Library), Art, and Music in German at an elementary school in Germany
    • Collaborating with colleagues to develop inquiry-based, PYP-aligned lessons
    • Supporting German language classrooms as needed to promote continuity and student support
    • Documenting student learning and contributing to progress reports
    • Participating in faculty meetings and professional development

    Upper School Visual Art Teacher (MYP: 15%)
    • Work closely with the MYP coordinator and colleagues to implement a relevant, challenging, and rigorous Visual Art curriculum. 
    • Develop and deliver engaging, inquiry-based art lessons aligned with the MYP Arts objectives.
    • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and creative environment that encourages student voice, choice, and risk-taking.
    • Manage materials, student work displays, and safety in the art studio.
    • Support students in building confidence and technical skills in a range of media.
    • Adapt instruction for diverse learners and support students with varying needs and backgrounds.
    • Participate in collaborative planning with other Arts department members.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years teaching experience required; Master’s degree preferred
    • Native or near-native fluency in German
    • Proficiency in English to communicate with colleagues, parents, and to write report cards
    • Experience teaching elementary-aged children in Art, Music, or Library preferred
    • Familiarity with the PYP framework and/or bilingual education is strongly preferred.
    • Authorization to work in the United States 
    Compensation and Benefits
    Compensation is based on education and years of experience. The annual salary for this 50% teaching position for the 2025–2026 school year will be prorated based on a full-time equivalent, ranging from $79,903 (BA Step 3) to $123,672 (PhD Step 23).

    Eligible for prorated full-time equivalent compensation during three faculty breaks: Winter, Spring, and Fall, the two-week holiday at the end of the year, and 40 hours or 5 days of paid sick leave.

  • Substitute Teacher (German, French, Mandarin and English Speakers) Pre-K to 12th

    Silicon Valley International School [INTL] seeks variable-hour substitute teachers for its elementary, middle, and early years programs, beginning immediately. We seek substitute teachers who are native speakers and literate in French, Mandarin, German, or English. 

    Our school offers three bilingual programs in Chinese, French, and German, along with an Upper School Language Acquisition program (USLA) for students with no prior immersion experience. Silicon Valley International School's instructors do not just teach students an additional language; they also impart the skills to become agile, responsive, and global thinkers. Moreover, we strengthen our language programs through the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, which codifies our structured inquiry pedagogy.
